Dr. Loretta Lou is Commissioning Editor at Amsterdam University Press, where she manages the portfolio and series in Asian Studies. After she received her DPhil in Anthropology at the University of Oxford, she worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Warwick before joining the University of Macau as an Assistant Professor in Anthropology. As both a researcher and an academic publisher, Loretta is keen to help scholars to develop and publish their research. She is interested in a wide range of topics within Asian studies, including but not limited to her specialism in environment, health, social movements, gender, and ethics in East Asia. She welcomes book proposals from all disciplines in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
